Assessment and management of patients attending Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) Out-patient Services.
Contribution to triage.
Contribution to risk assessments (PQC).
Preparation of care plans and crisis plans as part of the CMHT.
Attendance at PMHT Community Multi-Disciplinary meetings.
Liaison with hospital and other community multi-disciplinary teams.
There will be no inpatient responsibility with this post as part of its main role ¿ though cross-cover may be requested at times.
Ensure good communication with patients and relatives.
Supervision of Junior Doctors.
Teaching of medical students.
Involvement in departmental and hospital audit programmes.
To undertake continuing professional development and training.
Qualifications / Experience:
Key duties / Responsibilities:
Hold Full registration with the General Medical Council (London) with Licence to Practice or be able to obtain by time of appointment. If successful at interview, applicants will be required to provide proof of their GMC application. Applicants must be registered, with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
Have at least 4 years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme or as a Fixed Term Specialty Trainee in a relevant specialty;
Have equivalent experience and competencies.
