Job Duties:

Provide support to the Local Adult Safeguarding Partnership (LASP) including deputising for the LASP Chair where necessary, preparation of an agenda, and ensuring a minute of LASP meetings are circulated. In addition the post holder will assume lead responsibility for delivering on the LASP work plan and associated decisions and recommendations.
Liaise with the Northern Ireland Adult Safeguarding Partnership (NIASP) Regional Adult Safeguarding Officer and represent the Trust by contributing to the continuing development of adult safeguarding practice in line with Regional Policy, Procedure and guidance. This includes promoting quality initiatives in relation to adult safeguarding within the Southern LASP area.

Qualifications / Experience:

Hold a Degree or Professional Qualification or equivalent in Social Work and be currently registered or have lodged an application with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council. Applicants currently registered with alternative Social Work Registration Bodies may also apply but should be aware that offers of appointment will be subject to obtaining NISCC Registration.
Demonstrate engagement with the NI PiP Framework.
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience fulfilling the function of Designated Officer / Designated Adult Protection Officer OR a minimum of 5 years' fulfilling the function of an Investigating Officer including evidence of maintaining refresher training standards as set out by NIASP training framework.
