Job Duties:

The post holder will work as a dedicated member of the Occupational Therapy Team using practical and technical skills to support the provision of a flexible client centred service to patients in the setting.
The primary objective of this service is to assist with the provision of Occupational Therapy and the rehabilitation of patients under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapists through:
Carry our regular reviews using competency based observational skills to assess and report clients responses to treatment programmes, changes in client and/or environment and associated risks, (including behaviours) that may affect Occupational Therapy involvement.
Supporting the interventions initiated by Occupational Therapy Staff by undertaking delegated follow up contacts with clients/carers.

Qualifications / Experience:

NVQ/QCF Diploma level 3 or higher qualification in Health Care OR 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language and Maths or equivalent/higher qualification.
AND 1 years experience in health/social care related role where the work was regular.
AND willing to undertake and successfully complete within 1 year of appointment the QCF level 3 Diploma in Health Care or equivalent qualification as specified by the relevant professional body.
Demonstrate evidence of basic computer skills i.e. experience in the use of packages such as Email, Word or Excel for example.
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
