Job Duties:

Participate in the assessment, planning, development and delivery of a comprehensive range of specialist training courses on Management of Actual or Potential Aggression to multi-disciplinary groups of staff.
This will include both theoretical components and a wide range of physical interventions such as breakaway and holding skills based on risk assessment and training needs analysis and which promotes the Trusts Management of Violence and Aggression (MOVA) policies, procedures and strategies.
Provide advice, support and training on issues relating to violence and aggression.

Qualifications / Experience:

Be registered on the Live NMC Register OR hold current registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council on the social work part of the register, (applicants currently registered with alternative Social Work Registration Bodies may also apply but should be aware that offers of appointment would be subject to obtaining NISCC registration) OR be currently registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
Holds an Instructors Certificate of competency to provide training in the Management of Actual or Potential Aggression ((MAPA) and is currently on the live register OR must successfully complete the MAPA Instructors Certification on appointment*
