Job Duties:

The IT Support Engineer will assist in providing 2nd/3rd line support for all aspects of our IT systems across the organisation. Main responsibilities of the post are: Liaise with teams within Disability Action to identify and agree resource needs and priorities in line with our IT strategy. Plan and carry out support activities to meet both internal and external IT related needs, including setting up a company wide database. Provide and support the team on adhering to WCAG guidelines while also developing our user interface design. Develop and work in collaboration with our marketing department on a monthly podcast. Assist Disability Action investigating where AI has been or could be used in our environment, including building prototypes or concept models. Carry out staff feedback and reviews of IT usage and confidence, to help to design new support activities to meet evolving staff and business needs. Any other duties relating to the post as identified by the line manager.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential Criteria: Knowledge and skills in all aspects of Microsoft 365. A good understanding of IT software and hardware with a keen enthusiasm to learn further. Creativity, problem-solving and communication skills, in addition to the need for accuracy and attention to detail. Teamwork skills as the post holder will work with individuals in different roles and teams. Evidence of working on own initiative and with others to deliver an agreed objective or goal. Understanding of the issues barriers and relating to people with disabilities. Be self-motivated with an ability to manage work time effectively. Young person aged 16-24 with a disability.
Desirable Criteria: The ability to meet the travel requirements of the post. The post would suit a current undergraduate student looking for a paid work placement or a recent graduate.
