Job Duties:

Working with young adults in a supportive way. Delivering a range of programming aimed at improving the life chances of young people. Outreach and detached youth work as part of a team. Occasional residential work with groups of young people. Writing of reports. Development of programmes in consultation with young people and parents within the community.
The post will involve working with staff, volunteers, parents and families to develop a professional youth service aimed at children and young people across communities in North Belfast. The post provides opportunities for development and learning and the post holder is expected to complete their OCN Level 2 in Youth Work during their JobStart opportunity.
You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful candidate will require good communication skills and should be confident in their interactions with others. A good basic education is desirable but otherwise all training in community youth work will be offered by the employer. The post holder will have to meet the requirements needed to work with children and young people and satisfactorily complete an AccessNI check.
