Job Duties:


Organising and implementing a stimulating and varied programme of activities for children, within a group setting and on an individual level.
Preparation and maintenance of all facilities required, such as rooms, materials and equipment and ensure all facilities and resources are left clean and tidy after sessions.
Promote the social, emotional, physical, creative and intellectual development of children and to work in the interest of children at all times and to seek professional advice about any changes in a child's well-being.
Undertake any instruction/training to underpin or acquire knowledge of programmes and activities to support your role in supporting children, specific to their needs including additional needs, on a group and individual level.
Maintenance and improvement of a welcoming child-centred environment.

Qualifications / Experience:

Desirable not essential:
Experience of working in a Childcare.
A genuine interest, motivation and enjoyment around working with children.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or working towards.
First Aid certificate.
Child Protection Training.
An understanding of children's development and their physical, social, educational and emotional needs.
A good level of understanding of the rights of children.
An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
An ability to communicate effectively with young children.
An ability to liaise with parents and to understand the importance of parental involvement.
Willingness to undertake flexible working patterns/rotas and to work unsocial hours when required.
A commitment to the ethos and values of Windsor Womens centre.
