Terms and Conditions

JobCentreOnline (JobCentreOnline) is the Public Employment Service website in Northern Ireland. It contains all current vacancies notified via Jobs & Benefits Offices/JobCentres, or through www.EmployersOnlineNI.com and also links to European job vacancies via the European Job Mobility Portal. These European vacancies are presented in the format used by JobCentreOnline but may be in the native language of the state they are located in. There is a network of thirty-five Jobs & Benefits Offices and JobCentres throughout Northern Ireland where information on job vacancies is also available. Staff can provide details of all services available to jobseekers, including how to join suitable programmes. JobCentreOnline is updated on an ongoing basis as new vacancies are notified. JobCentreOnline is managed by the Department for Communities (referred to as 'DfC' below) and is subject to the terms and conditions set out below. In entering the site you as a user are accepting these terms and conditions.

Using JobCentreOnline

JobCentreOnline is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Your access and use of the website constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. This takes effect from the date on which you first use the website. You should note that the terms and conditions may be revised from time to time. Continued use of the site will be deemed as your acceptance of any revised terms.

User Responsibilities

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site by any third party. Such restriction or inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person, or the transmission of obscene or offensive content within this site

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive or scandalous material, or any material that constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, likely to give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violates any law. DfC will fully co-operate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing it to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials on JobCentreOnline. Feedback/Information collected by DfC is used to assist jobseekers to make job applications online, for internal review, to improve the content of JobCentreOnline, to customise the content and/or layout of JobCentreOnline, to notify users about updates to JobCentreOnline, and, possibly, to contact users for marketing purposes. This information is not shared with other organisations for commercial purposes.

All employers who advertise vacancies on JobCentreOnline will be asked to provide the Department for Communities with the results of applications from jobseekers. Employers will be sent a list of the unemployed jobseekers who have indicated that they will be applying for a particular vacancy. This is to establish the outcome of their application. The Department will use this information to assess the performance of the Department’s services. This information will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Linking to JobCentreOnline

If you wish to link directly to pages on JobCentreOnline you should email your request to mailto:jcol_feedback@communities-ni.gov.uk.  If your request is granted, you will not be permitted, in any circumstances, to extract information, by the use of web crawlers etc. for loading into frames on your site. JobCentreOnline pages must load into the user's entire window and be displayed exactly as they appear on JobCentreonline. This is to prevent the misrepresentation of information which employers have provided to DfC.

You should not insert any graphic into, or play audio content over, JobCentreOnline content, nor allow a pop up to appear simultaneously with JobCentreOnline content.

You should not associate JobCentreOnline with any material contained on your site. Nor should you suggest any endorsement by JobCentreOnline.

A website will not be permitted to link to JobCentreOnline if it contains material which is libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, or is in any way a breach of the laws of Northern Ireland or infringes any third party intellectual rights.

If we contact you to remove your links from JobCentreOnline you must do so immediately.

Intellectual property

The names, images and logos identifying the e-Government Unit, Directgov, government departments, third parties and their information, products and services are proprietary marks of the Crown and/or third parties.

Copying or use of our logos and/or any other third party logos accessed via this website is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant copyright owner.

While every effort is made to check and test material at all stages of production. users are advised to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the Internet.
